In Life's Healing Choices, John Baker states: "Each of our lives is tangled up with hurts that haunt our hears, hang-ups that cause us pain, and habits that mess up our lives. Since the beginning of time, men and women have searched for happiness--usually in all the wrong places, trying all the wrong things. But there's only one place where we can find tested-and-proven, absolutely-gonna-work principles that will lead to healing and happiness. These principles come in the form of eight statements from the truest of all books, the Bible, and from the most revered Teacher of all time, Jesus Christ. Jesus laid out these principles for happiness in the Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 5. Today we call them 'the Beatitudes'."

The 10:30 a.m. Sunday service is a more informal, contemporay service. Elements of Lutheran liturgy are retained, but the words used are in today's language. Contempory music is used throughout, accompanied by the Praise Band of keyboard, guitars, bass, drums and singers. Communion is celebrated on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month at this service.

Celebrate Recovery® Women's Step Study (Room 14)

In Life's Healing Choices, John Baker states: "Each of our lives is tangled up with hurts that haunt our hears, hang-ups that cause us pain, and habits that mess up our lives. Since the beginning of time, men and women have searched for happiness--usually in all the wrong places, trying all the wrong things. But there's only one place where we can find tested-and-proven, absolutely-gonna-work principles that will lead to healing and happiness. These principles come in the form of eight statements from the truest of all books, the Bible, and from the most revered Teacher of all time, Jesus Christ. Jesus laid out these principles for happiness in the Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 5. Today we call them 'the Beatitudes'."

We invite you to come and deal with your "Hurts, Habits, and Hang-Ups" in a way that will include Jesus Christ!

We will be using the Celebrate Recovery® 4 Participant Guides to work through our Hurts, Habits and Hang-Ups, using the 12 Steps and their Biblical Comparisons and the 8 Principles based on the Beatitudes.
